The renewed Temacoat SPA product family reduces painting costs and solvent emissions

Temacoat SPA Primer is designed as a primer or an intermediate coat for steel structures and equipment. It has a high solid content, which means lower solvent emissions compared to traditional epoxy paints. In addition, this higher solid content improves cost efficiency.
Temacoat SPA Primer can be applied on steel, aluminum and zinc surfaces and has excellent adhesion properties. It can also be repainted quickly at low temperatures, enabling shorter production turnaround times.

Temacoat SPA Primer can be used as a primer with Tikkurila’s fire retardant Nonfire S104 and Fireflex paints. It has been added to the
certified product declarations TRY-95-2005 and TRY-69-2007, published by
Teräsrakenneyhdistys (The Finnish Constructional Steelwork Association). Adding
Temacoat SPA Primer to the selection of approved primers extends the
possibilities of fire retardant painting.
Temacoat SPB Primer is designed as a primer or an intermediate coat for building frameworks, tubular
bridges, conveyors and other steelwork and equipment, Temacoat SPB Primer has
excellent adhesion properties to steel, zinc and aluminium surfaces. The
renewed Hardener 0085601 improves Temacoat SPB Primers´ spraying properties, ensuring a very smooth finish. With this new hardener, SPB product needs to be thinned only very little and solvent emissions will stay to
minimum.
Temacoat SPA MIO forms a very strong and durable coat due
to special pigmentation. It is used as a primer or as an intermediate coat in
epoxy and polyurethane systems exposed to severe climatic conditions, splashes
and chemical dust. Temacoat SPA MIO has a low-solvent content and therefore has lower solvent
emissions than many traditional epoxy paints.
Temacoat SPA Primer MIO has been approved in the guidelines for bridge
repairs (SILKO 3.351) for the intermediate coat in the repair paint system.
This product can be applied in a single thick coat and can be repainted
quickly, including in combination with polyurethane paints. Temacoat SPA Primer
MIO is used as the intermediate coat in Tikkurila’s painting system TP95*,
which enables the fulfillment of the requirements of the C5 corrosivity category with only three coats.
Temacoat SPA 50 is an epoxy paint that can be used as a single coat system or as a primer/intermediate/topcoat in different painting systems. The product has a high solid content. Temacoat SPA 50 can be tinted into thousands of colours that are readily available through Tikkurila’s Temaspeed distributor network.
